I'm not sure that Paulson has an official website. If you want to see what variety of chips they offer, just check out one of the stores. I have the James Bond set (new one not the original) and am very happy with it

Having shopped around and bought a few myself, Pokerchipmania.com had the lowest price I could find for new Paulson's at .05 per chip before shipping. Sometimes you can get better deals on ebay if you are willing to buy used chips. But don't buy chips that are too used. Some have spent years in a casino and really worn and dirty looking.

I am buying my husband a set for his birthday...I'm not sure what kind of game he would play, but small denomination regardless. I am looking at the Paulson's chips. There are sets of 300 and 500. Would 300 be enough?-

Most chips today are composite, clay is still used in some casinos but for the most part composite chips are the way to go. I myself have a very nice chip set, i go to gamblers general store in Las Vegas for all my gaming needs. They have a website of the same name, and they have been in Vegas for over 30 years, they supply most casinos with there chips and tables. They have sets that range from cheap to very expensive, you can even order chips with your name or picture on them. I bought my chips a little bit at a time, i spent 86 cents a chip.
