   Poker tournament, how to deal with the maniac?
   I was in a dollar buy in, Tournament of Full Tilt.

   And I kept running into players that went all inn before the flop, regardless of their whole cards.

   The rational thing to do is to fold, but i like suited connectors and my blinds are not for sale.

   I put it a preflop raise 3X the blinds, nothing, ALL in.

   Finally i call with a strong hand and double up.

   A new player joins our table, another wacko, I waited until i had a strong hand and called and now had 22k chips

   Now another maniac joins with 12k chips. All in no matter what cards, All in every single hand.

   By now i was soo fed up i called with A3, made 2 pair and he got a 4 hearts on the river and won.

   Now my stack was half around 11k. By now i was steaming big time and, i wanted this guy out so i can play poker and quit playing bingo.

   What do u know he goes All in, I call with A5, he wins. I get kicked out the tournament and suck on my thumb.

   HOW OFTEN DO YOU RUN INTO WACKO'S LIKE THIS?
   AND HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THEM?

     Why do you get "fed" up with these guys? You just wait for a hand and a good opportunity to bust them. A5 and A3 are not necessarily the hands to do it with although it depends a lot on stack sizes and how many players are left to act after you.

     Against a completely random hand A5o only wins about 58% of the time meaning if the maniac shoved with any 2 cards he would still win around 42% of the time. If he's only shoving a third of the top hands in the deck his hand is actually a favorite to beat yours around 54% of the time. This doesn't even take into account opponents who wake up with huge hands behind you.

     Final point, it's just one tournament. Even if you did everything right you're not going to win or even make the money very often in a typical online tournament. The player field is large and usually only the top 10% or so win money. Having these guys in your tournaments is only improving your odds of winning assuming you adjust to them properly. Mainly, playing less pots especially limping or raising with speculative hands and willing to put your money in with a little looser standards than normal. So you should be happy, not angry, but realize sometimes they're going to bust you. That's poker.

      You have to do what you started to do and play your premium hands against him. If you are all in there is always a chance he will suck out but you have to be patient against those opponents.

    How can I save money when planning my sweet sixteen?
    I only have about 0 to work with on my whole sweet sixteen. Here is what I had orrigianally wanted to do
    setting- the party would be held at my moms bosses house, which has a pole barn/large garage for us to use for tables and what not. There is also a pool

    Plan- its a murder mystery so I was thinking have the murder mystery and dinner and then have everyone swmi in the pool with a dj

    itenerary-
    6:00 guest arrive
    6:30- into to murder mystery
    6:45 make sure all guest have name tags and game money
    7:00 start game
    7:30 serve dinner (I was thinking of having like a buffet style thing to save money and serve grilled food with an ice-cream sundae bar, and a mock bar (would serve virgin versions of drinks and drinks like jones soda) later in the evening)
    8:30 swimming with dj
    10:00 anounce game winners, award prizes
    10:15 dance
    ... everyone goes home!

    so pretty much the only expenses that i have are
    dj- (there is a local dj with experience who charges 5 for 5 hours)
    buffet food- I dontk now how to cut back here...
    ice-cream sundae bar- i would love to have this but it could be taken out if necessary
    mock bar- pretty expensive to serve the mock drinks, any way to get them cheaper?
    murder mystery game- cost about 0, include some decorations and invitations
    paper plates, napkins, cups- could buy on sale
    game cards- could probably find a few packs
    poker chips-...?

    Its a roaring 20's theme just so you know, thats why there is a mock bar and card games lol

    how can i cut back on expenses?

      dj- use an iPod and some speakers, or rent big speakers to use for an ipod.
      food- make the stuff for walking tacos, it would be pretty cheap. Or have pizza or something like that.
      mock bar - buy in bulk and only have 2 or 3 options (with similar ingredients) instead of 10.

    i found this at a yard sale. it's brand new except for the one used roll of chips, I'm pretty sure they are clay. i can't find any info online, it's either very rare or relatively worthless.

      Probably not very rare. Probably not worthless, either. Check out similar things on e-Bay. My guess is you could get 50 bucks tops. Maybe a little more if you're lucky.

    Unfair Loan Practices: Where can I join a Class Action suit against US Bank & Wells Fargo Trust?
    Downey failed and was bought by US Bank. US Bank states that Downy sold my loan to a “Secondary Market Investor” after the loan was originated, which turns out to be Wells Fargo Trust. It was sold into “Scrutinized Trusts.” US Bank is the Servicer, Wells Fargo is the Master Servicer. They are telling me although I qualify for the HAMP loan modification which is a Making Home Affordable program, they have to deny me help because the loan was sold and the agreement with the new owners of the loan is to offer no loan modification to me under any circumstances. --- I feel this is just their way of burying the bad paperwork and getting the house out of my hands and into a new package with someone new so I will go away and the bad paperwork won’t have to be dealt with. --- I found in my County’s Recorders office no other paperwork has been filed with the County to show a new owner, which apparently is the Wells Fargo Trust. Only the original Downey Note Claim from 2005. Since then, the loan was sold and assigned to Wells Fargo Trust & US Bank. There are no records from either bank with my County’s Records office. So if US Bank and Wells Fargo Bank tried to Foreclose on my house, well, are they really the Owners? Do they have the right? Did they even have the right to sell my loan to a Trust? I’ve owned this house for 10 years. I did a refi in 2005. Now this. – I am a victim of The Banks being greedy and giving so many loans in 2005, 2006, 2007 during the boom and to lessens their processing load, they sold my loan like a poker chip for less than it’s worth to a Scrutinized Trust. These banks don’t want to help people with these sold Trust loans because the Banks make MORE money off foreclosing a home rather than helping the “owner”/Loan Bearer into a more affordable loan. They get Reimbursement money off of their Insurance Policy that they Hold in case the borrow defaults on their loan. That is another reason why they deny Short Sales by the way, because they make Insurance Money off Defaults and Foreclosures. They won’t even offer a forbearance. The greedy banks caused this economy problem in the US. They affected the Companies and companies had to lay off people. Well I am in HR – Staffing Manager and Senior Recruiter and was laid off during this economy crash, they caused me to loose my job in a RIF with half of my company. When there are no jobs, who needs a Staffing recruiter? I was out of work for over a year. I spent my whole savings trying to pay my bills and save this house. Now I have had a job for 6 months making Half of what I made before in my job of 3 years that they caused me to loose. Now that I can pay and keep this house, they are denying me help! This is absurd! So I would like to find a Class Action suit I can join to try to stop this Foreclosure and have my Loan Payment plan be adjusted permanently or temporarily so I can be helped. Please advise me to the contact the right people! I want my old life back! If I can’t get it, then at least help me get the help the US Government set up and asked the banks to promote, which is a HAMP Loan Modification under the making Home Affordable Program.       The individuals in a class action suit rarely make anything worthwhile. The lawyer or team of is generally the ones that will reap the benefits of a successful class action suit.

      I feel your pain, I talk to people in situations similar to yours much more than I would like.

      The problem with HAMP is that it is voluntary for the lenders, they are under no obligation to participate.

      The horses are already out of the barn, we bailed out the banks and they in turn are not under much scrutiny or requirement to help keep people in their homes.

      Yes, they can sell your loan. They do it all the time.

      I do not know of a solid lawyer or firm that is taking up this charge. Why? Because there is very little they can do. What the banks are doing is wrong, but it is not illegal.

      I would suggest you keep hammering on your lender for a modification.
